Today’s inspiration is from me. As this lock-down is evolving differently all around the world we are all exposed to a whole range of emotions and feeling. At least once a day choose to deliberately do something that makes you feel good. Some days it will be easier, some days it will be a stretch and that is normal. Acceptance is sometimes the start of change for the better.
Feel-good game of the day: Ticket to Ride
I have the digital version of Ticket to Ride on my iPad and it also exists as a board game. Whichever way you play, I feel it gives a sense of satisfaction when you can dominate the board in the middle where all the tracks meet. I also enjoy learning the geographic location of, which is an inadvertent side effect of having to make train ticket connections between cities. Great for a bit of family fun both the tablet version and the board game allows you to play together.
Feel-good song of the day: Hall of Fame by The Script
I saw The Script play as the warm-up act for a U2 concert in Dublin a good few years ago and I have to say I have been tracking their progress ever since. This song gives that bit of purpose that motivates me.
Feel-good thing to do: chat with a friend
Personal connections are so important these days. Reach out to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while or have been following only on social media. For 100s of reasons you may both not have had a chance to talk, so when is now a good time?
