Join the team

Gamification Nation is looking for some freelance members of the team.

At Gamification Nation we do our best to provide a quality service with a personal touch, our work tends to be bespoke for most clients and we tend to work collaboratively with clients to deliver projects. The way we work is that we only bring in talent when we know there is a significant amount of work or some very specific tasks that need to be done. In order to have competitive edge we scale up and down in team members depending on the projects. It allows us the flexibility to take on larger projects, but also gives everyone in the equation the flexibility and freedom to work on other projects and enrich their experience. When we engage you, we then expect you to be able to hit the ground running with an introduction to the task, the project and the client obviously.

Currently we are experiencing steady growth and we may need some people with very specific skill-sets to join the team on a freelance basis. If you are looking for full-time work or an internship, we are not the company for you right now, at this moment in time we will not offer these kinds of contracts.

How to apply for the freelance opportunities

If you have the correct skills and feel ready for some short term quests, please send us the answer to our scenario for the role. We know your CV may be wonderfully mastered, but we are really more interested to know what you can do in terms of work, hence we ask you to work through the scenario given for the role. The work you submit is treated confidentially and when we like it we will be contacting you for more information and potential interviews. Send your scenario answers to fun@gamificationnation.com.

Learning designer and developer

As a learning designer for today’s learner, it is essential to build snack sized and scenario-based learning modules in the Evolve Authoring tool. If you are able to work to deadlines and keep them, gather information independently and from subject matter experts and develop these into scenario-based course outlines and storyboards, then we are interested to see how you can help us deliver solutions for clients. Our learning designs put the learner first and are produced in virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality and traditional authoring tools. Your challenge should you choose to apply for a position is to make our blog post on the learning gamification framework into a scenario based learning course outline or storyboard.

Graphic designer

Your challenge should you choose to apply, is to design a fun character based on the Gamification Nation logo and a fun badge for a course participant. Your end result needs to be submitted in jpeg format. We have loads of things that need to look good from course materials, to front-end graphical interfaces for clients, badges, infographics, cards, books, presentation slides. The work will be varied and interesting for the right person. Submit your challenge composition and find out if you can be a fit.

IT  architect

For a recently won project, we require a platform architect who can match functionality requirements with technology infrastructure requirements. Ability to work on tight deadlines and fixed budgets. Willingness to work in a flexible manner with changing requirements initially and openness to start afresh is critical for success. Having a good understanding of productivity, learning and HR systems both front-end and back-end is desirable. This role is estimated to run for the 9-month duration of the project. To apply for the role, submit an IT architecture for an educational game.

UX/UI designer

For a recently won project, we require a user experience designer for apps and platform interfaces. Experience of working with games and game-like applications is essential. You will be asked to communicate often conceptual ideas to clients with limited understanding. Flexibility, willingness to adapt design based on client requirement and openness to start afresh are critical for success. Multiple short-term opportunities may apply for the right candidate. Submit a low-level learning game experience design with an explanation as to how this will be beneficial to the customer to apply for the role.

Interns

If you are interested in game design and how it applies to the work environment, then we want to hear if you can be a virtual intern for our company. The types of things we may ask you to be involved in are board game and card game design and play-testing, digital gamification design and implementation on existing platforms. To apply send us an explanation of how your favourite game could be applied in the world of work today.

———————-

As we explained above, our aim is to keep the business as lean and agile as possible. Currently, this means all the above positions will be free-lance, applications without the challenges will not be considered.
